Social grades used in media and advertising.
All producers use this table to insure that their intended product is sold correctly to the target audience. I used this to see who would buy my magazine and why. The social class that fits my target audience is social class E. Students are found within this social class as they are still in the funding of their parents or loans. I would also say that people in the social class C1 and B would also buy my magazine. This is because the price of my magazine is £3.00. I chose this price as it competes with other magazines in the same genre as mine however it is cheaper than the others to fit with the social class group of E. This price is expensive and so people in the social groups of C1 and B will be able to afford it also and it is a high class magazine within the layout and the stories within it.
